Hancock will play in the MHFSCA All-Star game this summer, made up of Michigan High School All-Stars. He had this to say about Toledo:
"If you talk about level of competition, next year we'll be playing Boise State. In two years we'll be playing Ohio State," Hancock noted. "If you are talking about championships and bowl games, you are talking about Toledo. One of the most winningest coaches in NCAA is Coach [Tom] Amstutz. In two years they will be making an indoor facility with a new weight room and there's lots more."
TE Danny Noble (Elyria, OH - Elyria HS) has committed to Toledo according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. In 10 games, Noble had 26 receptions for 506 yards and 9 touchdowns this past season at Elyria. He also had 67 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks as a linebacker. He was recruited by Toledo to play tight end. Apparently he was being recruited by some Big Ten schools as an outside linebacker, but not sure which schools or if there were offers. No information in the Rivals nor Scout databases for Noble.
RB/WR Gordon Warner (Miami, FL - Central HS) has committed to Toledo according to Rivals.com. A very fast running back with 4.4 speed. Toledo is the only Division I-A school to offer him, but he is very under-rated. "I committed to Toledo (Tuesday)," Warner said. "They were the only school that was giving me an offer, so I committed. I like the school and the environment," he said. "I visited and it's great there. We did the basic college visit. We went on a campus tour and they told me of some of the highlights. It was just the basic stuff like that." Warner was recruited by Coach Dave Walkosky and is the 2nd Florida running back to commit to Toledo in the last two years. Dontae Jones from Evans HS in Orlando, FL committed and signed with Toledo last year. He redshirted in 2006.
