By Brian Nowicki The Toledo Rockets had four interceptions and one fumble recovery in a 37-31 double overtime victory over the Kansas Jayhawks of the Big 12 conference. The win improved the Rockets to 1-2 on the season with a home game against McNeese State coming up this Saturday evening at 7:00pm. Toledo has won 35 of their last 37 games at home. McNeese State is 1-1 on the season. After losing at South Florida 41-10, the Cowboys spanked West Virginia Tech 76-0. West Virginia Tech may not be a football power, but a 76-0 victory is impressive regardless. McNeese State led that game 48-0 at halftime. Toledo and McNeese State have met twice before, both Rocket loses. In 1980 the Rockets lost a close one to the Cowboys, 20-17. That game was at the Glass Bowl. Then in 1988 Toledo travelled to Lake Charles, Louisiana and lost 46-19. There is currently no television for this game. You can listen to the game on radio WSPD 1370AM, with the pre-game show at 6:00pm and the actual game at 7:00pm. Mark Beier will do the play by play, with AJ Sager as color analyst, and Brad Fanning on the sidelines.
